About
Ceramicist and glaze chemist working at the intersection of craft and material science.
Priyanjali's practice centers on the relationship between clay, glaze chemistry, and the kiln. Each piece begins with an understanding of the materials — the mineral content of the clay body, the oxide ratios in the glaze, the atmosphere inside the kiln — and how they interact at temperature.
Her work ranges from functional stoneware — bowls, mugs, vases made for daily use — to experimental glaze testing that pushes the boundaries of surface and color. The glaze chemistry notes on this site are drawn from years of studio testing, documenting what works, what fails, and why.
Based in India. Working in stoneware, porcelain, and experimental clay bodies.
